About the Berkeley Filmmakers Screening Series
The monthly Berkeley Filmmakers Screening Series was established in 2009 in an effort to showcase the award-winning independent cinema of the filmmakers at the Zaentz Media Center in Berkeley. Following the screening, the audience is invited to remain for a question and answer session with the filmmaker. Tickets are free UNLESS the screening is a Berkeley FILM Foundation (BFF) grant winner, in which case a $10 ticket price will be charged to directly benefit the BFF, a grant program established in 2009 by the City of Berkeley, Wareham Development and The Saul Zaentz Company to nurture and grow the independent filmmaking community, and to attract the next generation of filmmakers. Seating is limited and by reservation or ticket sale only. All screenings will occur on the third Thursday of each month at 7pm.
Reservations will be taken for a particular month's screening only after the 1st of that month. You may make reservations by clicking on the link beneath the current film screening. We will keep you updated on screenings, premieres and special events running at the Zaentz Media Center in 2012, so check back regularly for show times. Please be mindful that, because of the nature of the documentary genre, much of the content will not be suitable for younger viewers. Please also give us advance notice if you special access needs. Thank you for visiting the site and we hope to see you at the movies!
